7. Malfunctions, causes, and remedies

In cases of functional failure, always check whether all technical speciications have been
adhered to in the existing operating conditions.
7.1 Pump malfunctions (PDYS)
Malfunction
Cause
Remedy
Timed lubricator not
Insufficient lubricating oil pressure
Check oil supply

Close pressure relief valve (SV1) (NO = normally closed).
Check setting of pressure regulating valve on the main line.
Check lubricating oil pressure,
replace pressure switch if necessary.
Pressure build-up to slow
If necessary,
replace pressure switch or control unit from
engine manufacturer
4/2 directional solenoid valve faulty
Replace 4/2 directional solenoid valve
Pumps damages
Replace pump
One or more injector nozzles are blocked
Check injector nozzles, replace if necessary
Pressure sensor does not
Pressure sensor faulty
Replace pressure sensor - see Chapter 6.4.1
pass on signals even though Air in the lubricant line
Vent the lubrication line - see Chapter 5.5
Insufficient lubricating oil pressure
