Make use of VPN technology and create a high-speed wireless network
Besides the regular router function of the WLR-5001 that lets you create a wireless network to share a broadband Internet
connection, fi les and peripheral devices with all users at home, the router also supports VPN technology.
You can use the WLR-5001 as a VPN client to access an external VPN server or you can confi gure the router as a VPN server to be
able to access your home network from any location using the Internet. With VPN technology you always make use of a highly
secured and encrypted VPN tunnel.
If you are not making use of the VPN functionality, the router has many high-end features to off er such as Simultaneous
Dual-Band, Gigabit ports and Sitecom Cloud Security.
Sitecom Cloud Security is integrated in the router and protects all the devices in your network against cybercrime. Simply start
using the free six-month subscription and use antivirus/antimalware, antiphishing, protection against malicious websites (URL
blocking) and ad blocking.
The router has a range which is optimized for three fl oors, the garden and the balcony and wireless speed of up to 300 Mbps. It
supports a wired speed up to 1000 Mbps and is ideal for high-speed internet.
Enjoy the benefi ts of the fact that this router simultaneously uses the standard 2.4 GHz frequency and the less congested 5 GHz
frequency for optimal wireless performance of heavy applications. The router is suitable for heavy applications such as watching
YouTube, streaming music and videos and downloading fi les.

of the OPS (One Push Set-up) button.
