BURNER ORIFICE
1. Remove the brass compression nut securing the stainless steel flexible gas line to the elbow of the orifice
holder.
2. Remove the bolt under the base securing the orifice holder and burner casting to the base.
3. Pull the orifice assembly out.
4. Remove the orifice from the assembly.
IGNITION CONTROL
The control sends and receives voltages to operate or verify operation of components. Refer to the following
and see the designators below to understand the ignition control’s terminals.
L1:
Main power supply voltage to control.
IND:
Main power supply voltage from control to motor.
LED:
Wire connection to red light of selector switch (diagnostic)
MV:
24 VAC from ignition control to relay #1 to gas control valve.
PS2:
24 VAC return from air pressure switch back to ignition control.
PS1:
24 VAC from ignition control to air pressure switch.
W:
24 VAC from relay #2
FS:
No terminal.
R:
24 VAC from ignition controller to thermostat.
X:
24 VAC from transformer to ignition controller (without this voltage from the transformer, the ignition control
will not function).
C/COM:
Earth ground for transformer and ignition control.
Also refer to “Operation Sequence” within this manual as needed to understand operation of the ignition
control during a call for heat.
