16. Maintenance and daily service of the Sinterit Lisa PRO Printer
This section describes the control and special maintenance operations crucial for keeping the printer in perfect working
condition.
ATTENTION!
Maintenance jobs must always be performed by skilled technicians, trained to carry out their
specific jobs.
ATTENTION!
Before doing any maintenance job you must:
•
Make sure that you have carefully read the instructions contained in this manual and
know how the printer works.
•
Make sure there are no unauthorised people in the work area.
•
Make sure the necessary tools are on hand and that these are in good condition.
•
Make sure that lighting is adequate and, if necessary, provide 24 V portable lamps.
Always use tools that are in perfect condition and specifically made for the operation to
be done. The use of unsuitable tools or tools not in good condition could cause serious
damage.
ATTENTION!
Before starting any maintenance or cleaning job, always wear adequate protective clothing,
eyewear, face mask, and/or gloves according to the type of job to be done.
A. DAILY SERVICE WORK WHILE PRINTING
It is recommended to perform the following service work each time you print:
•
cleaning the Laser Protective Glass;
•
cleaning of the Print Bed pyrometer window;
•
cleaning the Recoater guide bar;
•
cleaning the inside of the printer lid (around the Reflector) and print chamber above the Overflow Bin gap;
•
lubrication of the Recoater guide bar with silicone oil;
•
checking the status of the Recoater cord.
For cleaning the above-mentioned parts, use an Alcohol pad or cotton cloth soaked with 2% salicylic spirit (ethanol solution)
or any other ethanol-based solution. Do not use isopropyl alcohol!
The printer has built-in screens in the software to remind you of the operation process, placed in the right place on the
operating path.
B. LASER PROTECTIVE GLASS - CLEANING AND REPLACING
You will need Protective Gloves, Alcohol pads, Cotton cloth, new Laser Protective Glass (when you must replace it).
CAUTION!
Beware of sharp edges. Put on Protection Gloves to protect yourself from injuring hands against
the edge of the Heating module. The Protection Gloves are included in the plastic bag (”Personal
Protection” kit) with the Dedicated Powder Tools.
