Learn mode
Before configuring the PX TrawlEye sensor for your operating needs, you can test
different settings. This will help you save a lot of operative time and will make you
obtain accurate data right from the beginning. If Learn mode is enabled the PX
TrawlEye sensor will run through the learn parameters you select for the ping-period
you select in the ping interval. The data from
Learn mode
is shown on the
Extras
menu
whenever the sensor is sending that information.
Ping Interval
The
Ping Interval
function permits you to choose the time (in milliseconds) between
each transmission ("ping"). Specify the interval between each "ping".
Label
By default, the TV80 will assign a label to every sensor depending on its measurement
and/or location. The name (label) you give to the sensor will appear in the
Sensor List
.
Body Serial Number
This is the serial number that you find on the sensor body. Type the number in the
text box.
Program Sensor
Once you have defined the settings and functions, select
Program Sensor
in order to
apply them to the sensor you are configuring. Once the sensor has been programmed,
the TV80 will automatically read the new sensor parameters back from the sensor to
verify that they have all been set correctly.
Non editable information about the sensor
Every sensor has some unique settings. The information “read” from the sensor is shown in
grey colour and cannot be edited.
FPGA Version
The field-programmable gate array (FPGA) version is unique for every sensor. This
number identifies the sensor and its electronics.
PCB Serial number
The Printed circuit board serial number is unique for every sensor. This number
identifies the sensor and its electronics. The serial number facilitates identification for
later reparations. If you want to unlock more measurements of your sensor, you need
the PCB serial number.
Software version
This number shows the current software version of the selected sensor.
Battery charge state
When working with wireless sensors, it is vital to know the current level of battery.
