Swath view
The ME70 swath view represents an image
constructed from the echogram data of all
beams in the fan. It is a two-dimensional
sonar-like image that is built up for each
ping. It contains no history.
The beams currently described in the
channel views are identified between the
two yellow lines. The depth value at the
top of the swath view is measured by the
centre beam.
A
The total width of the swath is shown
between the two black lines. The
swath width depends on the current
beam configuration.
B
The two lines indicating a subsection
of the swath shows the currently
selected beams in the channel views.
If you have defined and activated the two reference beams, the width of this section
is three beams. These are the beams shown in the top three channel views.
If the two reference beams are not activated, the width of this section is five beams.
Which beams to be included in this section is defined using the
Beam Selection
button on the
Display
menu.
C
This vertical line on the left side indicates that the
Colour Scale
field has been
enabled in the
Configure Window
dialog box. To see the colour scale, click on the
grey line and drag it towards right.
D
This is the
Depth
field. It has been enabled in the
Configure Window
dialog box. To
change the size of the
Depth
field, or to minimize it, click on the grey line and drag
it up or down. The size of the characters will change automatically.
If you right-click with the cursor positioned inside the swath
view, a small short-cut menu will appear to provide related
options. The
Configure window
option on the short-cut menu
allows you to access the
Colour Scale
and
Depth
fields.
These fields are identical to those used in the channel views.
