Calls Initiated in the Home Screen
Emergency Call
Emergency Call can be either emergency private or group call.
An emergency call can be made through any of the following methods:

By Manual Dial.
n
By using the TK Key. Press and hold the TK key to initiate an emergency call. In
the DMR system, the number to be called is set in the FPP.
Broadcast Call
Broadcast call can only be a broadcast group call. In a broadcast call, the calling party
can only transmit voice signals and the called party can only receive them.
To make a broadcast call, carry out the following:
1. From the home screen, using the keypad, input ‘#1* + called number’.
2. Press the Call, PTT, or # key to make the call.
Priority Call
In normal voice calls, a Priority Call has the highest priority.
To make a priority call, carry out the following:

From the home screen, using the keypad, input ‘#8* + called number’.

Press the Call, PTT, or # key to make the call.
Forced Group Call
Private call manual dial is available in the home screen by default. You can switch the
private call manual dial to the group call manual dial and make a group call as follows.
1. From the home screen, using the keypad, input ‘#6* + called number’.
2. Press the Call, PTT, or # key to make the call.
Subgroup
Each of the 32 subgroups allows up to 64 group IDs to be entered, all contacts in the
list can be selected using the knob control.
Authentication
Authentication is used to ensure the validity of the user accounts in the network. It
operates in a way that the base station authenticates the validity of the radio. After
the radio passes the authentication by the base station, the services can be processed.
