DMO and RMO Modes
The SDP760 radio supports both DMO and RMO modes:
n
DMO
- Direct Mode Operation.
n
RMO
- Repeater mode Operation.
DMO
In DMO mode, the radio can be configured using the FPP so that the Rx frequency is
consistent with the Tx frequency. In DMO mode, the radio can communicate directly
with another radio.
RMO
In RMO mode, the radio can be configured using the FPP so that the Rx frequency is
different from the Tx frequency. In RMOs mode, the radio can communicate with
another radio of the same frequency configuration via a repeater.
CTCSS/CDCSS Type
The CTCSS/CDCSS option allows the user to configure the Radio’s current channel with
a specific Rx CTCSS/CDCSS type. When the radio receives the signal, it will distinguish
whether the received signal is CTCSS or CDCSS and, before processing, check whether
it matches the predefined CTCSS/CDCSS for the current channel.
There are three types of coded squelch systems available: CTCSS, CDCSS, and CDCSS
Invert.
Squelch Level
Adjustment of the squelch level can reduce background noise when the radio is
receiving signals. The squelch level can be set, using the FPP, to either:

Normal
- This is the default level.
n
Tight
- Weak signals will be filtered and only strong signals will be received.
n
Open
- If set to Open (parameter value is 0), the radio will turn on the speaker
and background noise will be heard.
