Assembly and setting up
WARNING! RISK OF FIRE!
►
Never place the device underneath wall cupboards or next to curtains,
cupboard walls or other flammable objects.
►
Always place the appliance on a heat-resistant surface.
1) Take all the parts out of the box and remove the packaging material and any
protective wrapping or stickers.
2) Clean all of the components as described in the Chapter "Cleaning and care"
to remove any packaging residue. Ensure that all parts are completely dry.
3) Place the appliance on a clean and level heat-resistant surface. Do not place
the appliance directly next to a wall or a cupboard. Each person should have
unimpaired access to the pans
.
4) Place the stone griddle
on the side of the base unit where the indicator
lamps are located. The surrounding fat channel must be facing upwards, the
holding pins in the base must protrude into the recesses in the underside of the
stone griddle
so that it sits firmly on the base.
5) Place the griddle
onto the other side of the base. Here you can choose
between the smooth griddle or the grooved griddle surface. If you use the
grooved griddle, your food will have the typical grill pattern.
6) Push the pans
into the device.
Before first use
The appliance is assembled and set up as described above.
1) Set the temperature control
to 0.
2) Insert the plug into a mains power socket. The power indicator lamp
lights
up red to show that the appliance is connected to the mains.
3) Turn the temperature control
to MAX. The heat-up indicator lamp
lights
up green to show that the appliance is heating up. As soon as the heat-up
indicator lamp
goes off, the appliance has heated up.
4) After 20 minutes, turn the temperature control
to 0.
5) Then pull out the plug and allow the appliance to cool down.
