10.3.4 Power Configurations
The EFR32 allows several power configurations with additional options giving flexible power architecture selection.
In order to provide the lowest power consuming radio solutions, the EFR32 comes with a DC-DC module to power internal circuits. The
DC-DC requires an external inductor and capacitor (refer to the data sheet for recommended values).
The EFR32 has multiple internal power domains: IO Supply (IOVDD), Analog & Flash (AVDD), RF Analog Supply (RFVDD), RF Power
Amplifier Supply (PAVDD), Input to Digital LDO (DVDD), and Low Voltage Digital Supply (DECOUPLE). Additional detail for each con-
figuration and option is given in the following sections.
When assigning supply sources, the following requirement must be adhered to:
• VREGVDD = AVDD (Must be the highest voltage in the system)
• VREGVDD >= DVDD
• VREGVDD >= PAVDD
• VREGVDD >= RFVDD
• VREGVDD >= IOVDD
