ST-700 User's Manual

2-4. Power Supply

There are two ways to supply power to ST-700.

 - Use the AC adapter.
 - Use a LAN cable.

ST-700 can receive power from a power supply device conforming to IEEE 802.3at via a LAN cable. For 
more details, see instruction manuals of power supply devices such as hubs with PoE+ power supply 
function (PoE hub). 

 - To get powered by PoE, connect a LAN cable to LAN Port 2.
 - When connected with the AC adapter, ST-700 gets powered by the AC adapter.
 - If you are using ST-700 (EU), only the AC adapter can be used.

TIP

 -  PoE (Power over Ethernet) is a technology to supply electrical power over Ethernet cable (Category 5e or 

above). This technology allows you to set up your PoE supported devices in a location without electrical outlet 
nearby

Note

Sample Connection 1: When using AC adapter

Connect the AC adapter to ST-700 and the AC adapter's plug to an electrical outlet.

•  Use only the AC adapter that comes with ST-700.
