5.3 Advice for Laying the Connection Cable
SIKA offers special, very robust connection cables made of FEP for the
SolarTemp 850 / 851.They are designed for continuous use at temperatures up to 200 °C.
IMPORTANT
If the specified limits of the connection cable are exceeded, it can cause material
damage and malfunctions.
Observe the technical data, in particular the maximum temperatures of the
used connection cable.
Observe the following advice for laying the connection cable:
The cable may not have contact with hot surfaces.
Observe the maximum permissible temperature of your cable!
The cable may not be laid over sharp corners and edges.
The cable may not be bent.
Avoid bending radii < 20 mm!
The cable must be securely and permanently fixed.
The cable may not be loose and begin to vibrate.
The cable may not be fixed under tension.
Do not step on the connection plug or socket.
Examples for the pipe run of an exhaust gas sensor for marine applications:
In practice, it has proven to lay the connection cable

along
the water cooling pipes
. Cable ties
are used to fix the connection cable onto the pipes.
