Installing the FireGuard 2 in suspended ceilings

CAUTION!

Damage to the photometer in the event of fire due to incorrect selection of the
measuring position.

If the photometer is mounted in the exhaust air duct, then it can become damaged in the
event of fire due to the high temperatures.

▪

Installation in suspended ceilings is only practical in the supply air duct.

The following requirements must be met for installation in suspended ceilings:

▪

The photometer must be pre-assembled for installation in suspended ceilings at the fac-
tory using the corresponding mounting set.

▪

The bore hole must already be available beforehand according to the drawing

FIREGUARD_Z-MB

▪

The bores for fastening the mounting set must be available according to the drawing

FIREGUARD_Z-MB

▪

The photometer must protrude at least 6.5 cm out of the tunnel ceiling.

▪

The length of the drop arrester must be adjusted to the ceiling thickness in advance at
the factory.
