Appendix B Error handling
Standard 1 needs external power, see section 3.1, because the
internal battery of Osiris is too weak to power the heating elements.
If external power is lost in this standard, the interval data will be
tagged with “Overload”.
If there is any major problem with the dust monitor, or the
communication between the dust monitor and the X20 box, an error
code will be set. This can be read out as a negative value in each of
the interval channels. The possible values are:
-1
The dust monitor has stopped its sampling
-2
No or undefined answer from the dust monitor
-4
Flow rate error in the dust monitor
-8
Memory of the dust monitor is full
-16
Photometer error of the dust monitor
-32
Low battery error in the dust monitor
-64
Over temperature inside the dust monitor
-128 Memory error in the dust monitor
If any (or a combination) of these error codes is set, the X20DM2
will after a while
light its (red) LED
stop communicating with the INFRA Master, which will
cause a “Node lost”-error
Example:
Suppose that one of the interval samples of an X20DM2 has the
value -33, then this shall be understood as a combination of the two
error codes “-1” and “-32” above, because -33 = (-1) + (-32), that is:
-1
The dust monitor has stopped its sampling
-32
Low battery error in the dust monitor
To recover from a “Node lost”-error, try to make a “Forced reboot”
of the Datalogger (can be made from INFRA Net Manager).
