3. Using the GL8200

3.1.

Getting Started

To setup the GL8200, follow the procedures shown below.

1.

Insert the SIM card into the SIM card socket. (Refer to
section 3.1.1 Inserting the SIM Card and 3.1.2 Extracting
the SIM Card for more details on how to insert and extract
the SIM card from the GL8200.)

2.

Connect the antenna to the FME RF connector.

3.

Plug the power supply cable into the GL8200 and switch
on the external power supply source.

Note:

For automotive applications, it is recommended to connect the VIN-VBUS line of the GL8200
directly to the positive terminal of the battery.
