Summary of vehicle interface functions
As well as preparing and providing trip data for the consumption display unit, the vehicle interface
itself stores the following vehicle meter information:
•
Total distance travelled [km]
•
Average speed [km/h]
•
Total fuel consumption [l]
•
Total time [hh:mm]
•
Average engine speed [rpm].
Vehicle data is stored in the vehicle interface regardless of whether a consumption display unit is
connected. This means that the EDM eco can also be used without a consumption display unit.
Figures from the vehicle meters can be displayed on the consumption display unit (-> 18) and
using a consumption display unit can be downloaded from the vehicle interface for further analysis
(-> 8). A consumption display unit can store trip data from up to 50 vehicle interfaces which can
then be transferred from the consumption display unit to the computer through the download
cable.
