If you have not yet assigned a value to the density parameter, the output value of 1 kg/l is
pre-set.
In the calculation example, at a density of 4 kg/l for the "mass flow" process variable, this
yields a value of 1000 kg/s. The density value that is entered is used solely for calculation of
the mass flow. The density value that is entered has no effect on the orifice calculation that
the user performs.
Note
If the density is changed, the measuring range limits must be modified to suit.

6.3.2.8 "User" measurement type
Description
If a parameter is assigned to the "User" measuring mode, the variables "level", "volume",
"mass", "volume flow" and "mass flow" are flagged as inactive.
In the "User" measuring mode, you have an option to define a customized unit for output
scaling. This customized unit is, e.g. a specific quantity of liquid. This quantity of liquid
depends on the input process pressure.
Example: Fill the beverages in cans having a capacity of 0.33 l. You can now define your
own unit of a "can", which corresponds to precisely 0.33 l. The quantity of "cans" depends on
the input process pressure.
