Connect PROFIBUS PA

Safety notes

NOTICE

Bus cable
Use only certified bus cable for PROFIBUS PA, e.g. 6XV1830-5EH10.

NOTICE

Protection against explosion
Be sure to use shielded leads for the PROFIBUS PA.
For safety reasons, shields on all shielded leads should be connected at both ends and the

power sources should be connected to the equipotential bonding of the hazardous area.

Procedure

In order to enable the digital outputs, proceed as follows:
1.

Strip the bus cable as shown in the figure below.

Loosen the right-hand cable clamp.

Pass the bus cable through the cable joint (4).

Secure the cable protector with the cable clamp.

Connect both wires to clamp 91/92 and clamp 93/94. A particular polarity is not

necessary.
