Safety instructions

DANGER

Unsuitable use of the device
The SIPROCESS UV600 must not be used in potentially explosive atmospheres!
The SIPROCESS UV600 is not suitable for measuring flammable and/or explosive gases

and gas mixtures!
The failure to observe this information could result in explosions with unforeseeable

consequences for personnel, plants, and the environment!

DANGER

Escape of toxic gases
If the device is used to measure toxic gases, a leak in the gas path could represent a

danger to life for personnel. To prevent this, the operating company must take appropriate

safety measures, for example:

•

Use of gas warning equipment which provides an alarm in the event of a gas leak before

the gas is released

•

Safe discharge of sample gas

•

Purging of gas path with neutral gas prior to connection of sample gas

•

A leak test for the internal gas path is obligatory before the sample gas is connected

NOTICE
Incorrect mounting
The device can be damaged, destroyed or its functionality impaired through improper

mounting.

•

Before installing ensure there is no visible damage present on the device.

•

Make sure that process connectors are clean, and suitable gaskets and glands are

used.

•

Mount the device using suitable tools. Refer to the information in "Technical data" , for

example installation torques requirements.
