Commissioning 

7.2.1

 

Commissioning steps 

Requirements 

●

 

The device has been installed and connected by a qualified person. 

●

 

The line voltage is switched off and secured against reactivation. 

●

 

The PROFIBUS DP bus address is set correctly (see section Setting the bus address 

(Page 37)) 

●

 

The DP master is configured and in operation. 

Procedure 

1.

 

Switch the 24 V DC power supply on again. 

2.

 

The device starts up. Check the LED status for the operating state. 

Error-free power-up: Green LED is on, red LED is off 

This LED display means: System is active; PROFIBUS communication is taking place

 

1.

 

Close the enclosure door. 

2.

 

Switch on the line voltage. The device is in operation. 

 

 

Note 
When power up is not completed without errors, the current operating state or error is 

indicated by the appropriate LED display (see section Status and fault display with LEDs 

(Page 49)).
