Remove the brass valve from the cylinder by
unscrewing from the cylinder neck. Remove the
valve and the siphon tube assembly and set
aside.
CAUTION:
Do NOT use a pipe wrench as this will
scratch the valve. Use a strap wrench or
attach a piece of pipe to the outlet for
leverage.

Remove the siphon tube assembly from the
valve.

Place the valve assembly into a bench-mounted
vice with rubber inserts or heavy canvas over
the teeth of the vise.
(Do not scratch the valve
surface.)

Remove the top plug adapter using a spanner
wrench.

NOTE:
1. The top plug adapter unscrews with
a right-hand thread.
2. There is a spring under the top plug
adapter that will push up the top
plug once the threads are
disengaged.

Remove the O-ring from the top plug
adapter.

6. Remove the piston from the inside of the valve
body.

Clean the interior surface of the valve body
utilizing a product like WD-40, removing all
of the residual O-ring lube.
