Managing devices
4.7.1.1
Overview of device management
In this tab, you can create devices. After creating the device, you can assign it to individual
participant groups. Prior to creating the devices it therefore makes sense to create the
individual groups first (refer to the section ""Creating participant groups (Page 75)").
Note
Note that a device should be assigned to at least one participant group.
If the device is not assigned to any participant group, this can only be edited by users with
the "Manage devices" right.

Calling the Web page
In the navigation, select "Remote connections > Device".
Displaying entries
A list of the devices that have already been created is displayed:

Name of the

VPN address
The IP address of the device used during communication via VPN. The address is automatically as-
signed by SINEMA RC. If communication via VPN is not active, " none is displayed.
Remote subnet
The IP address of the remote subnet. If the option "Connected local subnets" is not enabled, "none" is
displayed, refer to the section "Creating a new device (Page 68)".
If several IP addresses are created, is displayed. If you hover over with the mouse pointer, this
information is displayed.
Virtual subnet
The subnet matching the NAT IP address of the device. If the option "NAT for local subnet" is not ena-
bled, "none" is displayed, refer to the section "Creating a new device (Page 68)".
