Modularity of the converter system 

Thanks to their modular design, the converters can be used in a wide range of applications 

with respect to functionality and power. 
The following overview describes the converter components, which you require for your 

application.

Each SINAMICS G120 converter comprises a Control 

Unit and Power Module. 

•

 

The Control Unit controls and monitors the Power 
Module and the connected motor in various control 
modes (which can be selected as required). The 
Control Unit is used to control the converter locally or 
centrally. 

•

 

The Power Modules are available for motors with a 
power range of between 0.37 kW and 250 kW.
