Data is transferred between the individual nodes via fiber-optic cables. Plastic
or glass-fiber cables can be used as a transfer medium.

The SLB optional board has a 24 V voltage input for the external voltage
supply of the board. This ensures that data transfer in SIMOLINK is maintained
even with powered-down converter/inverter.
