LOCKED_BIT1
Meaning

Scenario C:
Either the landside or waterside spreader is locked in double-spreader operation (tan‐
dem operation).
The function is identical to scenario B.

1
Scenario D:
One container is locked in single-spreader operation.
The landside spreader and the waterside spreader are locked in double-spreader op‐
eration (tandem operation).
All possible containers are locked in twin operation.
Note
Scenario A applies to all four spreader constellations if no container is locked.
Note
Scenarios B and C are identical and apply to cranes with a double spreader in coupled
operation.
Note
Scenario D applies to all four spreader constellations if all possible containers are locked.
When two containers are being transported by one spreader in twin operation, it is assumed
that both of the containers are either locked or unlocked. A situation in which a spreader
extended to 45 ft is transporting only one 20 ft container is excluded as a possible scenario
because this mode of operation would not generally be used in practice and would therefore be
disabled in the higher-level control system.
6.10.6.3
Forming blocked regions during the learning travel
A travel is always defined as a "learning travel" if blocked regions are truncated as a result of
movement of the spreader in manual mode, i.e. if the blocked regions were higher at the
relevant positions prior to the travel.
Depending on P72 (SAM) and P78 (MAN), the blocked region can vary between SAM and
MAN. The scenarios below assume that P72 = P78, in which case the blocked regions in SAM
and MAN are identical.
