● Default router
Shows the configured IP address of the router being used or the one last obtained with
DHCP.
● DNS server
Shows the configured IP addresses of the DNS servers in the network or last obtained
with DHCP (max. 2).
4.13.2 Configuration
Configuration of the Ethernet interface
The Ethernet interface X1P1 of the RTU is used for local connection of the configuration PC
or an external router for communication with the master station. It is not suitable for
connecting larger networks.
Control of the external router in the communication mode
● Activate the LAN interface in communication mode
If the option is activated for the communication mode the LAN interface of the RTU is
activated for data transfer.

Control of external routers
If you use a router for data transfer, with this option you can turn on the router for the
next communication cycle with a signal from the RTU. The router can then establish a
tunnel connection to the communications partner.
If you use a router, select from the drop-down list a control output of the RTU
(X10 CTRL / X11 CTRL) or a digital output (DQx) as the signal source. The signal
must be activated in the WBM!
If you do not use a router, select the option "Not used".
– Lead time (s)
Here you can specify a lead time for the router before the communication cycle that
the router needs to start up.
– Monitoring of external routers
If the router has a status output "Ready for data transfer", you can apply the signal to
a digital input of the RTU to evaluate the router status.
If you do not want to monitor the router, select the option "Not used".
