Product description
The Extension Unit is used to install additional operator controls (installation components)
below a 16:9 SIMATIC PRO device for pedestal (extendable, flange bottom) or for support
arm (extendable, round tube). The Extension Unit for SIMATIC PRO devices

in two different basic versions (see figure below):

Extension Unit Standard

Standard operator controls, such as illuminated pushbuttons, emergency stop buttons
and interface components that are individually wired.

The Extension Unit Standard is usually delivered without operator controls.

The Extension Unit Standard is also available as a customized version.

Extension Unit Advanced

Advanced operator controls, such as RGB illuminated pushbuttons, that are
connected through an internal bus.

Standard operator controls, such as illuminated pushbuttons, emergency stop buttons
and interface components that are individually wired.

The Extension Unit Advanced is pre-configured by the customer, ordered individually
and delivered pre-assembled with installation components.

Customers can retrofit the Extension Units themselves, for example, with standard
operator controls.
