Installing Expansion Modules
You can extend the functionality of your PG 760 PII by installing additional
modules. Six expansion slots for long ISA modules are provided on the
mother board for this purpose. The current drawn per ISA module must not
exceed 6 A at +5 V.
In addition, three PCI slots are available for modules with a high data
transfer rate (slot no. 3 being occupied with a VGA card). The current drawn
per PCI module must not exceed the values in the following table. In sum
4 A must not be exceeded at +5 V.

Caution
Risk of damage!
The electronic components on the printed circuit boards are extremely
sensitive to electrostatic discharge. Please observe the guidelines for
electrostatically sensitive devices (ESD guidelines), otherwise the module or
device may be damaged.
The following functions of the PCI bus specification are not supported:
Boundary scan; the signals required for this are not connected to the
basic module.
Measurement of module power losses; the signals required for this are
not connected to the basic module.
64-bit data access operations; the signals required for this are not
available.
Plug expansion modules in as follows:
1. Turn off the unit and unplug the power cable.
2. Open the unit as described in chapter 4.1.
3. Remove the dummy plate on the rear panel casing.
4. Plug the module into a free slot.
5. Bolt the module backplane to the rear panel casing.
6. Close the unit (see Section 4.7).
