Setting up SIMATIC PDM Web
Restrictions
NOTICE
Exceeding the maximum permissible number of active connections leads to short-term
blockade
Depending on the Web browser of the workstation and the operating system of the PDM
server, there is a limit to the maximum number of simultaneously active PDM sessions.
Exceeding this number results in a short-term blockade of all logged-on users. At the same
time, a new user who exceeds this number cannot log on.
If the server limit is reached, you get the message "Maximum number of sessions has been
reached".
If the client limit is reached, you get the message "Connection error".
Before using PDM Web, inform yourself about the maximum number of simultaneously active
connections allowed by the operating systems you use and your Web browser.
