Overview of the parameters for the CPU 410-5H
Default values
All parameters are set to factory defaults. These defaults are suitable for a wide range of
standard applications and can be used to operate the CPU 410-5H directly without having to
make any additional settings.
You can define the defaults using the "Configuring Hardware" tool in STEP 7.
Parameter blocks
The responses and properties of the CPU are defined in parameters. The CPU 410-5H has a
defined default setting. You can modify these default setting by editing the parameters in the
hardware configuration.
The list below provides an overview of the assignable system properties of the CPUs.
●
General properties such as the CPU name
●
Watchdog interrupts, e.g., priority, interval duration
●
Diagnostics/clock, e.g., time-of-day synchronization
●
Security levels
●
H parameters, e.g., duration of a test cycle
●
Startup, for example, times for completed message from modules and transfer of
parameters to modules
Parameter assignment tool
You can set the individual CPU parameters using "HW Config" in STEP 7. For additional
information, see I/O configuration variants (Page 49).
Further settings
