Preface
Purpose of the documentation
This manual supplements the system manual SIMATIC MICRO-DRIVE Drive controller PDC
( https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109774126 ). The manual contains a
compact description of the device-specific information. The system-related functions are
described in the system manual. All system-spanning functions are described in the function
manuals.
The information provided in this manual and the system manual enables you to commission
the PDC100(F) drive controller.
Conventions
The statements made in this manual for the PDC100 drive controller also apply to the fail-safe
variant PDC100F. Any differences are noted at the respective location.
The currents specified in this document with unit "A" correspond to the torque-generating
current. Due to internal scaling, this value accurately corresponds to the peak value of the
alternating change.
To distinguish, the effective values are marked with "A
eff
".
STEP 7: In this documentation "STEP 7" is used as a synonym for all versions of the
configuration and programming software "STEP 7 (TIA Portal)".
