"Advanced CPU Control" submenu

Entry

Meaning

AES

When activated (Enabled), AES (Advanced Encryption Stand-

ard) secure encryption is supported by the hardware which

speeds up encryption and decryption.

P-states (ACTUAL)

Enables the processor performance modes (Enabled).

HT Support

If possible, uses hyperthreading (Auto) or deactivates hyper-

threading (Disabled).

Use XD Capability

Allows you to prevent program execution in specific memory

areas (virus protection). The function eXecute Disable Bit (XD

bit) is only effective if it is supported by the operating system.

If it is activated (Enabled), the operating system can activate the

XD bit. If the entry is not activated (Disabled), the operating

system is unable to activate the XD bit function.

VT Support

Enables or disables the virtualization functionality "Vanderpool

Technology".

C-states

Enables (Enabled) energy-saving processor modes for idle

operation (idle state).

Turbo Mode

Activates processor turbo mode (Enabled). Requires EMTTM.

Turbo Mode Level

Select "Temperature optimized" if you are using the device in

higher ambient temperatures. As a result, the CPU power con-

sumption is reduced in favor of a higher permissible ambient

temperature.
