Diagnostics with STEP 5 and STEP 7

7.8.1 Introduction

Introduction

Slave diagnostics complies with the standard EN 50170, Volume 2, PROFIBUS.
Depending on the DP master, diagnostic information can be read out for all DP
slaves that comply with the standard using STEP 7 or STEP 5.

Reading out slave diagnostic information and the structure of the information is
described in the following sections.
