Configuring a PLC-PLC Connection
The PLC-PLC connection is comparable to a point-to-point link between two
programmable controllers.
You can easily install the PLC-PLC connection with the parameters stored in
the default DB1.
You assign parameters for the PLC-PLC connection via the CP 541 as shown
in the following table.
Step
Action
Remark
1
Load DB1 into the programmer.
–
2
Enter the station number of the CP 541 with
parameter TLN in frame SL2.
The station number of the CP 541 must be
identical to the node address of the con-
nected PLC.
3
Write the modified DB1 into the CP 541.
–
4
Switch the CP 541 to RUN.
Only upon transition from STOP to RUN
will the modified DB1 be stored in the EE-
PROM of the CP 541.
In the connected programmable controller, you must observe the following
points when assigning parameters:
The station number set in the CP 541 must be identical to the node ad-
dress of the connected programmable controller.
With the connected programmable controller, you can access node ad-
dresses 1 to 30.
Each PLC-PLC connection can contain up to 64 bytes of data.
