Note
The specified power loss applies to 3-pole and 4-pole devices in the case of 3-phase,

symmetrical loading.
If the 4th pole is not de-energized (e.g. DC applications; unbalanced loading, many 1-pole

loads), the 4th pole has one-third the power loss of the 3-pole power loss.
