The parameters have the following meaning:
Parameter
Description
Range of values / note
radius
The login is via a RADIUS server.

local-and-radius
The login is possible both with the
users that exist in the firmware (user
name and password) and via a
RADIUS server.
The local users have priority.
The user is first searched for in the
local database. If the user does
not exist there, a RADIUS query is
sent.
radius-fallback-
local
The authentication must be handled
via a RADIUS server.
A local authentication is performed
only when the RADIUS server
cannot be reached in the network.
Result
The authentication is made according to the selected parameter.
Further notes
You disable the authentication via a RADIUS server with the
no login authentication
command.
You can display the status of this function and other information with the
show device
information
command.

no login authentication
Description
With this command, you disable authentication via a RADIUS server.
Requirement
You are in the Global configuration mode.
The command prompt is as follows:
cli(config)#
Syntax
Call the command without parameter assignment:
no login authentication
