Rapidlab 1200 Operator’s Guide: Operating the System

Shutting Down the System

Use this procedure to remove power from the system for 24 hours or less.

CAUTION:

Do not remove power from the system for more than 6 hours if

cartridges are installed. Cartridges installed in the system remain stable for 6
hours without power.

CAUTION:

To prevent damage to the hard drive and permanent loss of data, use

this procedure to shut down the system.

1. Select

Status > Shutdown > Yes

2. When prompted, turn the power switch off.

The power switch is on the back panel of the system.

3. To restore power to the system, turn the power switch on.

WARNING:

Do not operate the system in the presence of flammable anesthetic

mixture with air, O

, or nitrous oxide. The risk of explosion exists in a potentially

explosive environment. Refer to
