8 Commissioning and maintenance
WARNING
Voltages of up to AC 100 V at the component terminals
Contact with live parts can lead to electric shock and may be fatal!
●
De-energize all lines before performing any installation or maintenance work.
●
De-energize the loop before performing any installation or maintenance work.
●
Ensure the lines cannot be re-energized inadvertently.
De-energize Loop
1.
Disconnect both ends of the loop from the audio matrix
2.
Wait at least one minute, until the voltage at the Loop isolator (100V) has
depleted.
The system requires commissioning and regular maintenance to ensure that it
operates reliably. This is all the more true for systems with an evacuation function.
Commission 'maintenance personnel' to perform maintenance work.
The following list includes some examples of causes of faults that might be spotted
during a function test being performed as part of the maintenance work:
●
System incorrectly configured/parameterized without this being noticed.
●
Incorrect system status not displayed by diagnostics tool.
●
Announce difficult to understand or no tone because of defect loop isolator or
loud speaker.
WARNING
Maintenance work not carried out
Restricted alarms or no alarms, personal injury and damage to property in an
emergency
●
Ensure that the following maintenance work is performed at the specified
interval.
●
Remember that the function test falls under the scope of maintenance work.
The maintenance intervals may differ from the recommendations provided for
maintenance below depending on national requirements.
Type

In accordance with the local requirements and standards
At least once a year
All signal paths and relays
At least once a year
At the same time as system acceptance
After any change is made to the system
