Compact Flash card
To transfer the configuration from a PC to the MT8001 via a Compact Flash
(CF) card, do the following:
1.
Select the MT8001 node in Composer.
2.
Use the right-click menu to select:
Node Commands
Æ
Export Configuration
3.
Select where you want to save the configuration file on the PC.
The file is saved as a .zip file.
4.
Select the compressed file you just saved and extract all files.
5.
Turn off the MT8001 (if on) and remove the CF card.
6.
Insert the CF card into the card reader unit.
7.
Double-click the
Copy_to_Compact_Flash.exe
file.
A window appears prompting you to enter the drive letter for the CF card. The
tool then copies all the files you extracted to the flash card. When the copying is
complete, a confirmation window appears.
8.
Press any key to continue.
9.
Safely remove the CF card.
10.
Insert the flash card into the MT8001 and turn it on.
Do not insert the Compact Flash card into the MT8001 if the unit is turned on!
Note that the CF card contains a special folder named ‘Registry’ that is automati-
cally created in order to include the references to the unit hardware components.
If you move a CF card from one MT8001 unit to another, and the units do not
exactly match in the hardware settings, you need to delete the ‘Registry’ folder in
the CF root.
