5.4.10 Defining display mode
In the MT8001
Æ
Framework
Æ
Node tab, you can define the system display
mode (see Fig. 49, A). There are two possible display modes:
−
Always enabled: The system display is always present, regardless of if a user is
logged on;
−
Enabled only when a user is logged on: There is no system display unless a
user is logged on. If no user is logged on, the screen is black, and the “in opera-
tion” LED (located on the lower-right side of the terminal) is the only indication
that the MT8001 is turned on.
ULC
Configure timeout to return screen to the Event List (MT8001
Æ
Approvals-1 tab).
In the EN54 mode, after a configured time of user inactivity, the display reverts to
the alarm event list display.
Note:
20 seconds is recommended.
5.4.11 Setting the horn as internal/external
The horn sounds when an alarm occurs. It can be set to sound the internal
MT8001 horn (buzzer), an external horn, or both. It can also be muted.
•
Select which horn will sound from the ‘Buzzer output’ drop down menu under the
MT8001
Æ
Framework Node tab. (See Fig. 49, B.)
5.4.12 Defining buzzer mode
You can also define the buzzer activation mode, specifying when the buzzer acti-
vates. (See Fig. 49, C.)
MT8001 has four possible modes:
Buzzer activation:
−
On every event;
−
Only for Unacknowledged events;
−
Only for Unacknowledged Severe Alarms, Alarms, and Faults;
−
Only for Unacknowledged Severe Alarms, and Alarms.
Note:
In all cases but the first list item above, the buzzer stops if the events are
automatically acknowledged.
