4.3 Setting Start of Scale, Full Scale
The start of scale and full scale can be set via HART®, e.g. using the communicator
or SIMATIC PDM. You can implement rising or falling characteristics with this func-
tion.
4.4 Electrical Damping
The time constant of the electrical damping can be adjusted within a range of 0 to
100 s.
4.5 Fast Measured Value Acquisition (Fast Response Mode)
This mode is provided exclusively for special applications such as fast acquisition of
pressure jumps, e.g. pressure drop when a pipe fractures. The internal measured
value acquisition is speeded up at the cost of accuracy. This gives an increased low
frequency noise of the measured value for the user. Aus diesem Grund kann eine
gute Genauigkeit nur bei der Einstellung auf die maximale Messpanne erzielt wer-
den.
4.6 Blind Setting of Start of Scale and Full Scale
Start of scale and full scale can be set without applying reference pressure. Both val-
ues are freely selectable within the sensor limits. The maximum turn down is 1 : 30.
4.7 Trimming the Sensor Zero (Position Correction)
The zero point errors resulting from the installation position can be corrected by trim-
ming the sensor zero. Pressure should be relieved from the device to do this.
NOTE
The useful measuring range is reduced by the pre-pressure. Example: At a pre-
pressure of 100 mbar the useful measuring range of a 1 bar transmitter is reduced
to 0 to 0.9 bar.
