1.2 Structure and How It Works
The SITRANS P, MS series transmitter is immediately ready for operation after in-
stallation (Chapter 5, p. 101). The adjustable measuring span corresponds to the
specification on the rating plate. The start of scale and full scale are specified on the
measuring point plate in the case of a customized factory setting.
The start of scale and/or full scale can be changed during commissioning (Chapter
6, p. 109) if necessary by simple actions on the equipment.
1.2.1 Structure
The SITRANS P, MS series transmitter consists of different components depending
on what the customer requires and has ordered. The possible variations in type are
listed in Chapter 9, p. 119 “Ordering Data”.
The rating plate (1, Figure 1, p. 75). with the MLFB number is attached to the side of
the housing among other things. Optional design details and the possible measuring
range (physical properties of the installed sensor element) can be determined by the
specified number and the data in Chapter 9, p. 119.
