DATA BLOCKS

Move the selection window to

“

DATA BLOCKS" and press

<RET>. This function serves to read data blocks from the

ES 030 RAM

. ESCOPY must be told which data module is to

be read and displayed. The screen display will be in KH (hexa

decimal), KC (character), and KF (fixed-point number).

Note:

Only data blocks DB1 to DB119 can be read

and displayed.

Caution:

The displayed data block is valid only if

download operation has been selected using

the function key E2H (see also

Chapter 9.2).

READ BOOKKEEPER

Move the selection window to

“

READ BOOKKEEPER" and

press <RET>.

This function will display all blocks which are currently in the ES

030 user memory. The display on the screen will have the fol

lowing format:

ADDRESS BLOCK TYPE NUMBER LENGTH

ERASE ES 030

Move the selection window to

“

ERASE ES 030" and press

<RET>. This function will erase the complete contents of the

ES 030 user memory.

RESET/CANCEL

Move the selection window to

“

RESET/CANCEL" and press

<RET>.

This function will reset the program counter of the ES

030 and

start the user program stored in the ES 030. A system start will

be carried out.

Note:

After starting the user program with

“

RESET/

CANCEL", the ES 030 will no longer be in the

“

download" mode of operation.

9.4

Use

Entering the command (e.g., ESCOPY 1 2) and pressing the

RETURN key will start the commands in

batch operation

(see

also Chapter 9.3.1).

Selecting the commands in the

dialogue mode of operation

is carried out by moving the selection window to the

corresponding function and pressing the RETURN key. The

message

“

Command started -->" indicates that the com

mand has been started. If the command has been carried out

with no errors, the message

“

Done!" will appear. The user can

issue the next command. In case of an error, the message

“

ror!" will appear. A detailed error message in form of a blinking

text will be displayed at the bottom of the screen. The error

must be acknowledged with the <F5> function key. After the

cause of the error has been determined, the command can be

issued again.

The function key <F6> is used to store the status of the current

session (interface number, file number, and data block

number). The status will be stored in the file ESCOPY.BUP in

the current directory.

The values stored in the file ESCOPY.BUP will be used as

default when ESCOPY is called up in the

dialogue mode of

operation

Pressing the function key <F8> will terminate the dialogue

mode of operation of ESCOPY.

Downloading

ES 030-K with keyboard and display

ES 030-K without keyboard and display

Disconnect the ES 0303K from the power supply.

Disconnect the serial interface from connector 1.

Connect download cable with level converter with connector 1.

Press

“

U" key and power on

Power on

Press

“

DUE" key.

Power on

Press

“

O" key.

Transfer program with ESCOPY.

Perform RESET command with ESCOPY (

“

F" command).

Disconnect ES 030K from power supply.

Important:

Be sure to disconnect the download cable.

Connect the user cable to the serial interface (connector 1).

Turn on power supply.

The new user program is operational.
