7 Error Evaluation
7.1 ES 030 Error Messages
The following error messages can be displayed:

System Message:
Cause:
- EEPROM was changed without subsequently
performing a system start.
- The EEPROM contains an incorrect block
- EEPROM is not inserted or empty
- EEPROM is defective
Remedy:
Check the EEPROM

System Message:
Cause:
- EEPROM was changed without
Subsequently performing a System start.
- The program contains an illegal command.
- EEPROM contains an incorrect block.
Remedy:
Insert breakpoints in the user program in order to isolate
the erroneous command in the test mode.
System Message:
I N T E R P R E T E R T I M E O U T
Cause:
- User program is running in a loop (cycle is longer than
1 second).
Remedy:
Switch voltage off/on; correct user program.
ES 030 does not respond.
Cause:
- Display identifier set incorrectly or clock has been
addressed although not present.
Remedy:
Correct switch for selection of display, do not address
clock (do not reset F 7.3, do not set F 7.0).
7.2 Serial interface Errors
In case of an error during the input, the flag 12.2 (14.2) will be
set. The exact error description is contained in DB 1 DL 43
(DL 49).
In case of an error during the output, the flag 13.2 (15.2) will be
set. The exact error description is contained in DB 1 DL 46
(DL 52).
With the extended buffer length, the error descriptions will be
placed at other locations in DB 1.
The following error indications are identical
( see also Chapter 3.2.1.6):
DL 43 DL 74 (standard serial interface)
DL 46 DR 74 (standard serial interface)
DL 49 DL 75 (expansion serial interface)
DL 52 DR 75 (expansion serial interface)
7.3 Bar Code Errors
A set flag 20.2 will indicate that an error has occurred. The exact
error description is contained in DB 1 DL 72 (see
Chapter 3.2.1.6).
7.4 MOBY Errors
An error in channel 1 will be indicated by setting Flag F 16.1
and F 16.2. Set flags F 17.1 and F 17.2 indicate an error on
channel 2. The exact error description is contained in DB 1
DW 54 (channel 1) and DW 56 (channel 2) (see chapter 3.2.1.6
to 3.2.1.8).
