PROFIBUS-DP

Description

An optional module with PROFIBUSDP interface is available

for operation of the ES 030K on the PROFIBUSDP.  The inter

face operates 

“

word by word".  Two words (minimum) of user

data to 122 words (maximum) can be exchanged in one cycle.

Transmission speeds of 9.6 Kbaud to 1.5 Mbaud are automati

cally recognized by the interface.

Actions/Reactions

The reset takes effect even when the job is not triggered.  It ap

plies to receiving and sending.  A reset deletes all other com

mands.

All commands are concluded with an acknowledgement.  Trig

gering of sending and/or receiving, and diagnostics can be

processed simultaneously.

An error is always indicated simultaneously in bit 2 of FY 22 and

FY 23.

Receiving is enabled by setting bit 0 in FY 22.  The receiving

buffer always contains new data when acknowledgement bit 1

is set in FY 22.

Sending to the master is activated by setting bit 0 in FY 23.

Transmission to the master is performed when the system re

sets bit 0 and sets bit 1.

A knowledge of the PROFIBUSDP is required if you are work

ing with diagnostic evaluation.  See chapter 12.3 of the manual

on the ET 200 decentralized I/O system for a detailed descrip

tion.
