Activating/deactivating
advisory tones
Your handset uses ‘advisory tones’ to tell
you about different activities and statuses.
The following advisory tones can be acti-
vated and deactivated independently of
each other:

Key beep
: Each key press is acknowl-
edged.
u
Acknowledge tones
:

Confirmation tone
(ascending tone
sequence): at the end of entry/set-
ting and when an SMS or a new
entry in the answering machine list
(depending on base station) or in
the call list arrives.

Error beep
(descending tone
sequence): when you make an
incorrect entry
–
Menu end tone
: when scrolling at
the end of a menu

Battery low beep
: the battery requires
charging.

A wake-up call with the selected ringtone
(page 21) is signalled on the handset. The
wake up call sounds for 60 seconds. The

During a call, the wake-up call is signalled
by a short tone.
Deactivating the wake-up call
Requirement
: The alarm clock is ringing.

You can be reminded about up to
5 appointments by your handset
(volume and melody, see page 21).
