Uninstalling old versions
This part of the installation procedure is only necessary if there is an older version of
talk&surf on your PC. For successful installation of talk&surf 6.0, you are advised to
uninstall this old version and its device drivers.
During uninstallation you can save the directory and Calls list in a temporary folder.
Then you can import the data with talk&surf 6.0 for further use.
Uninstallation involves the following steps:

Close the
talk&surf Monitor
if it is open.
– This can be done by right clicking the monitor icon in the status area of the task
bar (next to the clock).
– In the pop-up menu, select
Stop Monitor
.

If necessary, deactivate the
dialler blocker
.
– This can be done by right clicking the monitor icon in the status area of the task
bar (next to the clock).
– In the pop-up menu, select
Deactivate dialler blocker
.

Open the
Control panel
of your Windows operating system.
ì
In the control panel, open
Software
.
ì
Click
talk&surf
and then
Remove
.
– Follow the instructions of the uninstallation program.
– Confirm the saving of the data if you want to use your old directory in talk&surf
6.0 as well.
ì
If necessary, remove the other components of the old version from the list of
installed software.
ì
Close the control panel and reboot your PC.

The list of installed software is arranged alphabetically by product name
(e. g. talk&surf, Gigaset etc.). The product name usually includes the
installed version number (e. g. talk&surf 5.1).
