Basic settings in Ethernet adapter operating mode

In Ethernet adapter operating mode, the Gigaset SE365 WLAN works as a wireless net-
work adaptor. It is connected directly to the Ethernet port of a computer, games console,
a set-top box, or other network-enabled device.

Settings for the wireless network without WPS

The screen shows all wireless networks in range with signal strength, SSID and channel.
The SSID (Service Set Identifier) defines a wireless network. All wireless devices (router,
PC etc.) in the same network must use the same SSID.

point that you wish to connect to

select a wireless network from the list by clicking the related

button.

This opens the screen for completing the basic settings.

Note:

In Ethernet adapter operating mode, you only need to configure the basic settings if
you are not using the WPS function (1 click only) (see page 7 and pag e 18).
If you want to use the WPS function, the access point the device should be connected
to must also support WPS.
