Activating setting for operation with repeater
A repeater will extend the range of the handsets connec-
ted to a base station telephone.
The following settings must be made when you register a
repeater at the base station telephone. They guarantee
that the base station telephone and repeater work toge-
ther for optimum performance.

Registering a cordless telephone terminal
box (TAE)
The cordless TAE connector enables you to use terminals
(device types) such as phones, answering machines (with
analog network connection), fax machines (group 2/3) or
modems without cords in the vicinity of the base station.
Select the Fax or Modem filter setting if you want to ope-
rate your fax or modem at the cordless telephone terminal
box (TAE). Once this device setting is made, the answering
machine will recognise the fax/modem tone when a con-
nection is set up and the call will be automatically deflec-
ted to the TAE.
If you connected an answering machine to the cordless
TAE, you should set "Answering machine" as the device ty-
pe. You can then pick up calls immediately at the base sta-
tion telephone or the handset during recording.
