WALK TEST
Important
Inform the person in charge of the PXL fire alarm system that a
Walk Test is to be performed and that part or all of the fire detec-
tion system will be disabled. It is also advisable (or may be
required) to notify the fire department of the test.
Use the Walk Test feature to test the entire fire alarm system in
either of the following two ways:
1. When an initiating device is activated, the system notification
appliances sound steady and the appropriate zone LED turns on
for 2 seconds.
or
2. When an initiating device is activated, only the appropriate zone
LED turns on for 2 seconds. Notification appliances are not
turned on.
Note:
Devices tested on supervisory zones will annunciate
twice. The first time is when the device is moved to the
off-normal state. The second time is when the device is
restored to normal.
The PXL automatically exits the Walk Test mode if there is no activity
on the system for 20 minutes.
